Preface

• Bold italics screen font is used for the variables that the user must supply.

• Bold is used for command names such as Show, non-printing characte rs, and function keys

such as Enter.

• The plus sign (+) is used for keys that the user must press a nd hold together such as Shift+Tab

and Ctrl+Alt+Delete.

A list of abbrevia tions used in this manual can be f ound at the end of the document in Appendix

A - List of Abbreviations.

WARNINGS, CAUT ION STATEMENTS AND NOTES

This document uses certain conve ntions to indicate supplementary inform a tion, of varying

degrees of severity and importance. Ma terial marked with a “warning” label is considered critical;

failure to observe this information can result in deat h or serious injury. Informa tion that refers to

potential damage to equipment is marked with a “caution” label. Information that is c onsidered

additional but useful is marked with a “note” label.

Samples of warnings, caution statements and notes appe ar as follows:

WARNINGS ARE ALWAYS IN UPPER CASE. WARNINGS RELATE TO

POTENTIAL LOSS OF LIFE O R SERIOU S INJURY. YOU MUST OBEY

CAUTION:

Normal Cautions are in bold type. Cautions relate to pote ntial dam age to

equipm ent. You m

ust obey all cautions.

ESD CAUTION:

Electrostatic D ischarge (ESD) warnings are in b old type, and are accompanied

by the ESD warning symbol. ESD can damage sensitive electronic equipment;

ESD wa rnings should likewise be he eded.

Note:

Notes are displayed in italic. Note s contain information that may be v aluable to the reader, but is

considered supplementary to the normal text flow.
