6.1. Alarm Connec tor
The ba se station provides the following types of external a larm connections:
• Outputs — predefined: Summary, Critical, Major, Minor
• Outputs — customer definable outputs: 4
• Inputs — customer defina ble inputs: 14
Connection to the system a larm c ontacts is through a 50–pin AM P connector ( part no. 554954-2).
The connector is typically site specific depending on which alarms are used in a given installation.
Details of the pinouts and connections a re provided in this chapter.
The alarm connector is loca ted in the rear of the cabinet. See Figure 6-1: Cabinet with A larm
Connector — Rear View and Figure 6-2: Alarm Connector. Cable s can be routed to the connector
using the procedure s described in Section 4.1. Routing the Cables.
