With the appropriate tool, crimp the contact pins from the power connec tor parts kit to the

end of the customer cable .

With the rounded side of the blue connector housing facing up, insert the crimped contacts

into the c onnec tor through the D-shaped openings in the housing. The contacts should

be inserted with the “A” a t the top of the pin facing up toward the rounded side of the

opening. Make sure to insert the –48 V w ire in the side labeled “-” and the return wire

in the side l abeled “+”.

Push the wire s into the connector until there is an audible click. P ull the wires firmly to

make sure that they ar e securely attached to the connector.

Attach the customer installed connector housing to the power connector located in the lower

rear of the cabinet. See Figure 4-10 for the loc ation of t he base station cable.
