4.3. Connecting the Po we r — DC–to– DC Converter Opti on
In a base s tation with a D C- to-D C power converter, the power is connected in the lower rear of
the cabinet a s shown in Figure 4-10.

The ba se station power connector is labeled with a minus sign (–) for the –48 V side and a plus sign
(+) for the return. In addition, the –48 V cable is labeled w ith a minus sign (–) on the cable itself.
A matching connec tor must be installed on the customer pow er cable prior to completing the
power connec tion. A parts kit is provided with the base station and is attached to the low er
front panel of the c abinet. See Figure 4-11.
