SECTION 7: HANDLING AND STORAGE
PRECAUTIONS FOR SAFE HANDLING
Precautionary measures: Do not get in eyes, on skin, or on clothing. Do not taste or swallow. Wash thoroughly after
handling.
General handling information: Avoid contaminating soil or releasing this material into sewage and drainage systems
and bodies of water. See Section 2 for further details.
CONDITIONS FOR SAFE STORAGE
Handle containers carefully to prevent damage and spillage.
Incompatible materials: May react with strong acids or strong oxidizing agents, such as chlorates, nitrates, peroxides,
etc. See Section 2 for further details.

EXPOSURE CONTROLS
Respiratory
Determine if airborne concentrations are below the recommended occupational
exposure limits for jurisdiction of use. If airborne concentrations are above the
acceptable limits, wear an approved respirator that provides adequate protection from
this material, such as: Air-Purifying Respirator for Organic Vapors.
Eyes
Safety glasses with side shields (or goggles).
Skin
Wear protective clothing to prevent skin contact. Selection of protective clothing may
include gloves, apron, boots, and complete facial protection depending on operations
conducted. Suggested materials for protective gloves include: Nitrile Rubber, Silver
Shield, Viton.
Engineering Controls
Provide adequate ventilation. Where reasonably practicable this should be achieved by
the use of local exhaust ventilation and good general extraction. If these are not sufficient
to maintain concentrations of particulates and any vapor below occupational exposure
limits suitable respiratory protection must be worn.
Other Work Practices
Use good personal hygiene practices. Wash hands before eating, drinking, smoking or
using toilet. Promptly remove soiled clothing and wash thoroughly before reuse.
