3. Before using for the first time

Open the battery compartment lid (Figs. P & Q) and first of all insert the battery provided as described

in chapter 6.

The Fissler VCD will switch itself on, and the digit 1 will appear in the display. To ensure the VCD

functions perfectly, please now use the and buttons to specify the type of stove you have. The

following settings are available:

1 = Induction cooktop

2 = Ceramic cooktop with radiating heating element

3 = Multiple cooktop

4 = Gas cooktop

Confirm your selection by pressing the button.

Note:

Because of their differing heat storage capacities, the various stove types respond at different speeds

to changes in the energy supply. Ceramic and multiple cooktops have a high storage capacity and

consequently react slowly – the signal to decrease the temperature is issued correspondingly early.

Induction and gas cooktops, on the other hand, respond very quickly, and the signal to decrease the

temperature is issued considerably later.

You can change the setting for the stove type at any time by removing the battery, waiting approx. five

seconds, and then inserting it again.

Downloading the app:

Download the "Fissler Cooking App digital" under the same name free of charge in your

App/(Play) Store. The app is compatible with the latest generation of smart devices

(smartphones and tablets) for the Apple/IOS and Google/Android operating systems.
