1. Safety instructions
Before using your VCD for the first time, please read these operating instructions in their entirety,
taking particular note of the safety instructions. You must provide these operating instructions
when you hand the VCD on to third parties.
The VCD is splashproof, but not watertight.
Keep the VCD away from children (danger that the battery will be swallowed).
If the LC display is damaged, make sure that you do not injure yourself on any broken glass.
Ensure that the liquid crystals do not come into contact with your skin or eyes or enter your mouth.
The battery supplied cannot be recharged. When replacing the battery, make sure that you do not
injure yourself on the battery contacts. Batteries can leak. If battery liquid comes into contact with
your hands or clothes, immediately rinse the areas concerned with water. If battery liquid comes
into contact with your eyes, you must immediately rinse your eyes with water and be treated by a
doctor. Batteries may never be damaged, drilled into, or thrown into an open fire. Only replace the
battery by a battery of the type specified in these operating instructions.
When attaching, operating, and removing the cooking assistant, note that the surfaces of your
pressure cooker become hot when it is in operation! Only touch the handles and control elements.
Important note
Do not use the Fissler VCD near external magnetic fields as these can impair its function. Use on
induction fields is unproblematical.
