5.) Firefighting measures
Extinguishing media
Suitable extinguishing agents: Use fire extinguishing methods suitable to surrounding
conditions.
For safety reasons unsuitable extinguishing agents:
Water with full water jet.
Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture:
In case of fire, the following can be released:
Carbon monoxide (CO).
Protective equipment: Wear self-contained respiratory protective device.
Additional information: Cool endangered receptacles with water spay.
Dispose of fire debris and contaminated fire fighting
water in accordance with official regulations.
6.) Accidental release measures
Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures:
Wear protective clothing.
Wear protective equipment. Keep unprotected persons away.
Environmental precautions: Inform respective authorities in case of seepage into water course
or sewage system.
Do not allow to enter sewers/surface or ground water.
Methods and material for containment and cleaning up:
Absorb with liquid-binding material (sand, diatomite, acid binders,
universal binders, sawdust).
Ensure adequate ventilation.

Handling
Precautions for safe handling: Ensure good ventilation/exhaustion at the workplace.
Prevent formation of aerosols.
Do not breathe fumes. Avoid contact with eyes, skin and
clothing.
