WARNING
There MUST be two (2) sealing O-rings in good condition on
the cone end. The absence of either O-ring creates a condition
that allows pre-mixing of oxygen and fuel gases. This can
lead to sustained backfire within the torch handle or cutting
attachment (see Figure 5).
5. If using a UM (Universal Mixer) mixer and welding nozzle, inspect
the seating surfaces of each before assembly. Tighten the nozzle
to the mixer firmly to prevent a leak.
6. Inspect the tip orifice(s). Spatter can stick on or in the orifice.
Remove spatter with a tip cleaner.
7. Insert the tip in the welding torch head. Hand-tighten only (see
Figures 6 and 7).

8. Open the oxygen valve on the torch handle. Adjust the oxygen
regulator delivery pressure according to the size and type of tip used.
