User's Guide
ADDENDUM TO OEM GUIDANCE [INTENDED TO BE ATTACHED TO USER GUIDE AFTER
EXISTING HOST DEVICE LABELING SECTION.]
RF Exposure Considerations
This module is intended for use only in the SlateSafety BAND V2 host device. The SlateSafety
BAND V2 is a portable host device that is placed on the upper arm. In the host device, all
antennas are at least 6.18mm from the body of the user. Firmware on the module must ensure
that the duty cycle of the module’s transmissions stays below .278% in a given 30 minute
window. There shall also be firmware controls that prevent the module from transmitting at the
same time as other radios inside of the host device. The SlateSafety BAND V2 also contains a
separate 2.45 GHz transmitter which is controlled by the module.
Labeling Guidance
The host device shall be properly labeled to identify the modules within the host device. The
certification label of the module shall be clearly visible at all times when installed in the host
device, otherwise the host device must be labeled to display the FCC ID of the module, preceded
by the words "Contains transmitter module", or the word "Contains", or similar wording
expressing the same meaning, as follows: Contains FCC ID: 2A3579160
