OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING
FOR YOUR SAFETY
Be careful when attempting to manually
ignite this heater. Holding in the control
knob for more than 10 seconds before
igniting the gas will cause a ball of ame
upon ignition.
LIGHTING
NOTE: If burner fails to remain lit,
all valves should be close and a
waiting period of at least 5 minutes
should pass before attempting to light.
WHEN HEATER IS ON:
Emitter screen will become bright
red due to intense heat. The color
is more visible at night. Burner will
display tongues of blue and yellow
ames. These ames should not
be yellow or produce thick black
smoke, indicating an obstruction
of airow through the burners. The
ame should be blue with straight
yellow tops. If excessive yellow
ame is detected, turn off heater
and consult “Troubleshooting” on
page 14.
RE-LIGHTING:
Note: For your safety, the control
knob cannot be turned OFF
without rst depressing the
control knob and then rotating
to OFF.
1. Turn control knob to OFF.
2. Wait at least 5 minutes to
allow gas to dissipate before
re-lighting.
3. Repeat the “Lighting” steps
listed above.
1. Turn the control knob to the OFF position.
2. Fully open the LP cylinder valve.
3. Push in and turn the control knob counter clockwise to PILOT.
4. While holding control knob in, push the RED igniter button to ignite the main
burner. Once burner ignites, hold in control knob for 15 seconds before adjusting
the burner. Turn control knob to LO position and release the control knob.
5. To increase the ame, turn the control knob counter clockwise to HI. To
decrease the ame, turn the control knob clockwise to LO.
6. To turn the appliance OFF, turn the control knob clockwise to PILOT position,
then push in the control knob and turn clockwise to the OFF position.
7. Wait at least 5 minutes before attempting to re-light the heater.
8. Turn the gas cylinder valve to OFF or closed.
If you experience any ignition problems, please consult the
“Troubleshooting” section of this manual.
Caution: Avoid inhaling fumes emitted from the heater’s first use. Smoke
and odor from the burning of oils used in the manufacturing will appear.
Both smoke and odor will dissipate after approximately 30 minutes. The
heater should NOT produce thick black
smoke.
