CONTROL PANEL REMOVAL
Note: Wear heat-resistant gloves if necessary.
1. Turn the control knobs to the OFF position and turn
off the gas supply to the unit.
2. Remove the rubber grip from a control knob (see Fig.
29-1).
3. Insert the included .078" (2mm) hex key through the
small hole located on the side of the knob and loosen
the screw (see Fig. 29-2).
4. Pull the control knob from the stem to fully remove.
5. Repeat for the other knobs.
6. Remove the drip tray.
7. Using a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew and remove the
control panel fastener screws and washers (located on
the left and right front face of the control panel). See
Fig. 29-3. Retain the screws for later re-installation.
8. Carefully remove the control panel by lifting and pulling
the control panel from the frame (see Fig. 29-4).
Note: Ensure the cooking grid locking channel remains
attached to the control panel when reinstalling. See
INSTALLATION - SECURE THE COOKING GRIDS
section for details.
WARNING: During reinstallation: prior to opening the gas
shut-off valve, be sure the control knobs are
in the OFF position.
