SECURE THE COOKING GRIDS
Remove control knobs and control panel
1. Turn the control knobs to the OFF position and turn
off the gas supply to the unit.
2. Pull the control knobs from the stems and set aside
(see Fig. 21-1).
3. Using a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew and remove
the control panel fastener screws and washers
(located on the left and right front face of the control
panel). Retain the screws for later re-installation.
See Fig. 21-1.
4. Carefully remove the control panel by lifting and
pulling the control panel from the frame. Set control
panel aside (see Fig. 21-2).
Install cooking grid locking channel
1. Attach the cooking grid locking channel to the rear
top lip of the control panel (see Fig. 21-3).
2. With the channel attached to the control panel,
carefully reinstall the control panel back onto the
grill. Ensure the locking channel is laying flat on the
cooking grids. See Fig. 21-4.
3. Reinstall the two screws to secure the control panel.
4. Insert the control knobs onto the valve stems. Ensure
the control knobs are in the OFF position.
