Adding Devices
You can use the Add Devices option to add a new device, specify the device options, and assign zones
to the device.
To add an addressable device to the SLC Loop
1. In SLC
Loop Setup -> Detectors pane, click Add Device(s). The Add dialog box appears
where you can add detector devices to the SLC Loop.
By default, Under Device Address, Loop 1 is selected.
2. Specify the device Add
ress which is a three digit value between 001 to 099.
3. To add only one device, click Single
Device.
4. To add more than one device, click M
ultiple Devices.
5. Specify the number of devices you want to add in No. of
devices.
6. Select the Device Typ
e from the list.
7. To add a user defined dev
ice type, select USER-DEF-1 from the list, and click Edit Custom
Type. Type the new type label in the displayed window and click OK.
8. In Device Label, se
lect the Adjective and the Noun which specify the device location. The
adjective and noun are specific descriptors to identify the device location. To add a custom
adjective/noun, select the Add New option from the adjective/noun list and specify the custom
adjective/noun in the displayed window. Custom Label displays the selected Adjective and
Noun.
