3. The FTLX1612M3BCL can support 8.5Gb/s Fibre-Channel with the transceiver CDRs placed in “by-
pass” mode. CDR-bypass mode can be achieved by changing the register value in EEPROM-Table 0,
Byte 111, Bit 0.
a. Use bit 111.0 to enable/disable Rx CDR (“1” to bypass and “0” to engage)
By default, the CDR devices shall be engaged on power cycle or module reset.
