7. INTELLIDRAIN
7.1 GENERAL
IntelliDrain is the new discharger applicable to any compressed air systems, where there is the necessity to
eliminate the condensate without wasting compressed air.
Easy to clean and compact, it definitely eliminates the problems concerning air consumption and acoustic
emission of the timed drains.
It can be applied to tanks, separators, dryers, filters, air compressors, etc.
IntelliDrain starts automatically, without the need of any adjustment. The condensate discharge occurs
thanks to the use of a electronic sensor, which detects the amount of condensate in the integrated water
collecting tank.
The level sensor drives the start and the duration of the drainage, so preventing any wasting of compressed
air.
The electric panel consists of the following components:
(1) Green LED electric power on
(2) Red LED condensate drain active
(3) KEY drainage TEST

7.2 INSTALLATION
The discharger must be always installed under the drainage level of the tank to be drained, and as close as
possible to the drain attachment.
Avoid the formation of siphons at the discharger inlet: the condensate reaching the discharger must allow
the reflux of air bubbles towards the top. Moreover, the connection tubing between the drain of the tank and
the IntrelliDrain device must be of a proper size (minimum suggested size 3/8”).
To prevent possible malfunctioning of the discharger, we suggest to use the accessories, i.e. network filters
and valves, supplied by the manufacturer,
Condensate can be discharged freely or through a drainage tubing having an adequate size. The draining
tube can also be some meters upwards.
At the end of the installation, put the plant under pressure and press repeatedly the TEST key to eliminate
the air bubbles contained in the inlet unions lf the discharger.
7.3 MAINTENANCE AND MALFUNCTIONING TREATMENT
Before attempting any maintenance operation, insulate the discharger from pressure and electrical
supply. We suggest to frequently remove and clean the mesh filter on the discharger inlet, specially in
the first days following the installation, until the complete removal from the line of rust, dirt, powders,
etc.
Should the discharger not correctly operate, try to act on the TEST key to clean the mesh filter.
Never remove the discharger body. Should the malfunctioning persist, contact your preferred reseller.
