5. AIR BY-PASS
Verify that the tubing to be used are clean inside, and free from any kind of impurities.
Connect the air circuit of the compressor to the circuit of the dryer (By-pass valve complete with unions),
respecting the position and the proper direction of the air flow.
The By-pass consists of a 4 ways distribution block, Rp ¾” threaded unions, and a manually operated piston
with an ergonomic handgrip. The piston has two positions:
Operating position (rod out): compressed air can flow through the dryers (dryer operating correctly).
BY-pass position (rod in): prevents the compressed air flow through the dryer (dryer under maintenance).
This do not prevents the possibility to utilize compressed air.
In case the system has to be moved, or for maintenance on the apparatus in absence of compressed air in
the dryer, proceed as follows :
Close the by-pass valve to insulate the dryer from the line;
Release completely the pressure from the dryer circuit pressing and holding down the TEST button on
the control panel (see chaper.3 paragraph.3.2);
Switch off the start switch and disconnect the dryer from electrical supply.
6. FILTERS FOR COMPRESSED AIR
6.1 RECOMMENDATIONS FOR INSTALLATION
This product has been designed and manufactured for compressed air treatment.
Each filter has an indestructible identification label on which the specifications for the filter usage are
indicated, together with the identification parameters of vessel and cartridge.
Each product is regularly tested before delivery.
In the filter, the air flow must always match the direction of the arrows present on the body.
Install the filter in vertical position, protecting it from fire, shocks and vibrations. To prevent damage to the
threading, never over tight the tubing, and never exceed pressure and temperature limits specified on the
filter. Never modify the filter without the authorisation of the manufacturer. The manufacturer will not be
liable in case on improper usage of the supplied devices.
The user is responsible for the treatment and the disposal of the condensate discharged from the
separation filter in compliance with laws and rules concerning pollution.
6.2 REPLACEMENT OF THE CARTRIDGE
a) Release the pressure from the filter as described in chapter 5
b) Carefully rotate the glass clockwise.
c) In case of bayonet type filter, once reached the stop point, withdraw the glass from the head.
In case of threaded type filter, unscrew completely the filter from the head.
d) Carefully unscrew the cartridge from the head.
e) Install the tensioning device of the old cartridge on the new one.
f) Reassemble the cartridge on the head, paying attention not to damage the sealing gasket.
g) Reassemble the glass on the head, caring that the two adhesive labels results vertically aligned.
h) Open carefully the valve intercepting the compressed air to start the treatment.
