5.13 Docking connector
The CliniScape can be docked on its docking unit without any locking mechanism. This allows a “grab and go”
one hand removal when you have to take the MCA seated in the docking station (please refers to the Docking
station manual).
When the unit is docked, you can use its available port to connect USB keyboard, mouse and other devices and
also have an Ethernet connection.

Note: the docking connector is “enabled” only when the MCA is fully docked. There are no
voltages present on the connector when the CliniScape is undocked.
As the mating of the MCA and docking station connectors needs to be very accurate, please,
be sure that the MCA is fully seated in its prescribed position, including:
There are several indicators that this has happened:
change of the screen brightness
battery LED indicators that starts indicating that the MCA battery is charging
USB connection “sound”and icon shown in the icon tray (if enabled)
Local Area Network icon shown in the icon tray (if enabled)
