6.2.5 WLAN SETUP
TheWLANsetupisstrictlydependentontheexistingwirelessnetworkinfrastructure.

•Navigatethrough:“START -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Network Connections -> Wireless Network Connection”
andselectoneoftheavailablenetworks.
•Ifrequired,insertanetworkkeyorpassword.
•TofurtherconguretheWLANparametersonthe“Wireless Network Connection”“Related Tasks”panel,select
“Change advanced settings”.
•The“Wireless Network Connection Properties”dialogpopsup,select“Wireless Networks”tab
•Selectthepreferrednetworkandpress“Properties”toadjusttheauthentication/encryptionparameters.

SettingupanEthernetconnectionisjustamatterofpluggingtheEthernetcableintheRJ45jack.Itisadvisedtoswitchoff
theWLANconnectioninordertosavebatterypower.
6.2.7 SCREEN BRIGHTNESS
TheProScribeispre-conguredtosavebatterypowerbyswitchingtheLCDbrightnesstoalowerlevelwhenthepower
plug is removed. Normal brightness is restored by going to:
“ControlPanel>TabletandPenSettings>Display>Screen Brightness>PoweredbyBatteries”andbymovingtheslide
barto“Bright”.
