Installation Guide
WIRING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Whether lights are surface mounted or recessed mounted, the wiring
procedure remains the same.
2. Install bulbs in Dainostars before beginning
the installation.
3. Install mini-pots on surface or as recessed fixtures.
4. Use wiring harness DLST42 to connect each fixture.
5. Install transformer within 15 feet of your last light. Connect to 120V line and
make sure the lid is secured.
6. Connect harness to lead from transformer. Connectors are male & female
and can be used in any sequence. If the distance between the connectors is
greater than on the harness, do not use that connector but move on to the
next closest one. For greater (>) distances than 48” (122cm), connect 2
harnesses together (maximum 3).
7. When using 100 Watt or 150 Watt transformer, you will require a separate
harness for each O/P lead. When the transformer is installed further from the
lights then the standard harness will reach DLST42, use the required
extension to accommodate. These are available in 5 feet (152cm) lengths –
model DLST42-5. Do not run wire from transformer beyond 15 feet (457cm).
Each 12V O/P line from transformer cannot run more than 50 Watts !
A. Minimum distance between fixtures should be 12” (30 cm).
B. 5” x 5” x ½” shaded area must be clear of obstructions.

. When attaching board holding recessed fixtures (D) to the underside of any
cabinet (E), a minimum air space of ½” (1.10 mm) over top of fixture must be
arranged to provide ventilation. Flush mounting of board (D) to cabinet (E) is
not allowed under our approval.

DMTR60-43 12V 60 VA c/w one lead – use with 3 lights
DMTR100-43 12V 100 VA c/w two leads – use with 5 lights
DMTR150-43 12V 150 VA c/w three leads – use with 7 lights
Please note each transformer lead cannot be connected to more
than three lights!
DLST42 Wiring harness connects up to 4 housing over a
maximum distance of 4 ft.
DLST42-5 Extension cord (60” /152cm) c/w one male and one
female connector.
DPTR-60 12V 60 VA electronic transformer
6’ (183 cm) SPT2 wire with polarized
plug on primary.
12” (30 cm) SPT2 wire with female connector
on secondary.
