The machine
Do not charge the machine in damp or wet locations.
Do not expose the battery to dampness or rain.
Remove or disconnect the battery before performing maintenance, cleaning or when
removing material from the machine.
Do not throw the battery into a fire. There is a danger of explosion. Ask your respective local

Never open or damage the battery. The released electrolyte contains acid, which may cause
eye and skin damage. The acid is highly toxic.
When handling and storing the battery, ensure that it is not short circuited by conductive
materials such as rings, keys, coins. This creates the risk of the battery overheating, which
could lead to a fire.

Inspect damaged parts. Damaged or worn parts need to be replaced. Damaged parts of the
machine may only be replaced by an expert using original spare parts. Contact an authorised
service centre for repairs.
Use only original spare parts.
Battery
Never open the battery. The released electrolyte contains acid, which may cause eye and skin
damage. The acid is highly toxic.
Under extreme conditions there is a risk of the electrolyte leaking out of the battery. If the
electrolyte leaks out, proceed as follows:
• Carefully wipe away the electrolyte with a dry cloth. Avoid contact with skin.
• If contact with skin or eyes does occur, proceed according to the instructions below.
• The battery contains a 25-30% potassium hydroxide solution, which may be harmful. If
contact with the skin occurs immediately wash with large amounts of water. Neutralise with
a mild acid such as lemon juice, vinegar. When eyes are affected, thoroughly rinse with water
(for at least 10 minutes) and seek medical help.
Do not expose the battery to the effects of water.
Do not store in locations, where the temperature could exceed 40°C.
Charge at a room temperature between 18-24°C. Never charge at a temperature below 4°C
or above 40°C.
