ATV Spreader USE AND CARE
Do not modify the ATV Spreader in any way. Unauthorized modification may impair the function
and/or safety and could affect the life of the equipment. There are specific applications for which the
ATV Spreader was designed.
Always check for damaged or worn out parts before using the ATV Spreader. Broken parts will
affect the ATV Spreader operation. Replace or repair damaged or worn parts immediately.
Do not exceed the ATV Spreader load capacity.
Distribute the load evenly. Uneven loads may cause the ATV Spreader to tip, resulting in
personal injury to the operator or others.
Use the ATV Spreader on flat and level surfaces capable of supporting the ATV Spreader and its
maximum load. Pulling or pushing a load on a slanted or uneven surface can result in loss of
control.
Store idle ATV Spreader. When an ATV Spreader is not in use, store it in a secure place out of the
reach of children. Inspect it for good working condition prior to storage and before re-use.
STORAGE SAFETY
1. Store the unit in an area away from human activity.
2. Do not permit children to play on or around the stored machine.
3. Wash thoroughly with a strong detergent to remove all chemical residue before storage.
OPERATING HINTS:
1. Be sure you know the application rate for your machine and material. Calibrate in the field to be
sure.
2. Over application can waste material or damage crops. Under application may not give the
desired results. This is particularly true when working with chemicals.
3. Wear appropriate protective clothing and eyewear whenever working with chemicals. Even
small amounts of a chemical can affect you, animals, or the environment. Follow instructions
exactly.
4. Stay 100 feet away from people, animals, and buildings. Stop spreading if anyone comes closer
to prevent injury. Particles from the spinner can injure the eyes.
5. Do not travel faster than the ground or terrain conditions will allow.
6. Do not allow riders. Riders can fall off and be injured.
7. Keep hands, feet, hair, and clothing away from moving parts.
8. Place all controls in neutral, stop engine, set park brake, remove ignition key and wait for all
moving parts to stop before servicing, adjusting, repairing, or unplugging.
9. Place all ATV and machine controls in neutral before starting.
10. Never start or operate machine unless sitting on seat.
11. Clear the area of bystanders, especially children, before starting.
12. Review safety instructions with all operators annually.
