1.2.2 Examples of multiple−axis systems
The SPC200 can be operated independently as well as in con
junction with a higher−order PLC/IPC. Within certain limits, it
can also manage control functions. For this purpose I/O mod
ules with digital inputs/outputs can be incorporated in the
SPC200 or external I/O modules can be connected to the axis
interface string.
Coupling to
a higher−order PLC/IPC can be made via digital
inputs/outputs or via special field bus modules (e.g. Inter
bus; PROFIBUS−DP etc.).
The components of the pneumatic axes, in some cases also
external I/O modules, are connected via maximum two axis
interface strings with one cable each to the SPC200.
