3.1.3 Configuration of the pneumatics
MPA pneumatics
From a technical point of view, the individual MPA pneumatic
modules on the CPX terminal each represent an electric mod
ule with digital outputs for controlling the valves fitted. In the
case of VMPA1−FB−...−8, 8digital outputs will always be as
signed and in the case of VMPA2−FB−...−4, 4digital outputs
will always be
assigned.
VTSA, Midi/Maxi or CPA pneumatics
From a technical point of view, the pneumatic interfaces on
the CPX terminal are electric modules with digital outputs.
Note
When the pneumatics have been converted or extended,
the number of output addresses occupied by the pneuma
tics for 8, 16, 24 or 32 outputs must be set on a DIL switch
on the pneumatic interface.
The DIL switch is situated under the transparent cover on the
pneumatic interface.
