C.4 Diagnostic memory
Fundamentals
A diagnostic memory serves for protocolling fault states. If
the time when faults occur and if fault sequences are regis
tered, this will facilitate the search for the cause of the faults
which are otherwise difficult to locate. If the causes are elim
inated, faults can be avoided over long periods.
CPX parametrisation
Various diagnostic memory filters can be parameterised by
means of diagnostic memory parameters (see section B.2.4).
With these filters the registering of certain system states can
be suppressed, and both starting and stopping can be con
trolled. The method of operation of the diagnostic memory
filters is shown in Fig.C/10.
