4.3 Start−up behaviour of the CPX terminal
The desired parametrisation of the CPX terminal should be
carried out in the start−up phase or after fieldbus interrup
tions by the plug−in module or the scanner/bus master, pro
viding this is supported by the fieldbus protocol used. In this
way you can be sure that when a CPX terminal has been re
placed, the new terminal is operated with the same para
meter settings.
You can influence the start−up behaviour with the aid of the
system parameter System start (see section B.2.2). If possible
select the setting System start with default parameterising
and current CPX system equipment". The desired parameter
ising can then be created in
the start−up phase or after field
bus interruptions e.g. by the plug−in module or the scanner/
bus master (depending on the fieldbus used).
If the MLED lights up permanently after the system start,
then System start with saved parametrising and saved CPX
system equipment" is set.
Caution
In the case of CPX terminals on which the M−LED lights up
permanently, parametrising will not be restored automati
cally by the higher−order system if the CPX terminal is re
placed after servicing. In these cases check before repla
cing to see which settings are required and carry out these
settings.
Detailed instructions
can be found in the manual for the spe
cific CPX bus node or the manual for the handheld.
