Term / abbreviation Meaning
Project zero point (PZ ) Dimen sion reference point for all positions in positioning tasks. The project
zero point forms the basis for all absolute position specifications (e.g. in the
position set table or in direct mode). The point of reference for the project
zero point is the axis zero point.
Record Positioning command defined in the position set table, consisting of target
position, positionin g mode, speed, acceler ati on, ...
Reference point (REF) Point of reference for the incremen tal measur in g system. The reference poin t
defines a know n position within the drive’s travel.
Software end position Programmable stroke limit (reference point = axis zero point)
Software end position, pos. (upper):
max. limit position in the positive direction (in creasin g actual values).
Software end position, neg. (lower):
max. limit position in the negative direction (decreasing actual values).
