CAT date link (13) is a serial communication bus that is
used in order to communicate with the following
components:
• Engine ECM;
• Transmission ECM;
• Dash Panel Cluster;
• Other OEM electronic modules
Shift lever (3) sends a PWM signal to transmission ECM
(11). Transmission ECM (11) processes the signal in
order to determine the position of the lever.
Speed sensors (5), temperature sensor (6), and
pressure sensor (7) send signals to transmission ECM
(11). The transmission ECM uses the signals order to
monitor the conditions of the transmission.
