CHAPTER 6: PRE-SETS AND OPERATION 6.1 Back-Out Mode Set-Up w The setting of the MODE switch will enable the operator to select between a 2-speed or constant speed operation. w Verify power is off, or bypass mode has been selected and IN BYPASS switch is lit, prior to changing the setting of the MODE switches. SW.# 4 DESCRIPTION TIMED SPEED CHANGE MODE. This mode starts in slow speed and accelerates to high speed, after a pre-set period. 3 NOT USED. Do not select this mode. 2 SLOW SPEED MODE.
CHAPTER 6: PRE-SETS AND OPERATION 6.1.2 Slow Speed Mode w In this mode, equipment will run only in slow speed, as chosen by setting the SLOW START SPEED switches. w The time setting indicated by the SLOW START TIME switches and the HIGH SPEED switch settings will be invalid, and no speed change will occur. w This mode is most applicable when high prevailing torque exists for the full duration of the duty cycle, or long cycle time conditions allow for slower speeds. 6.1.

CHAPTER 6: PRE-SETS AND OPERATION 6.2 High Speed Set-Up w High Speed switches are used to select the high speed setting. SLOW START SPEED SELECT SWITCHES w Verify power is off, or bypass mode has been selected and In Bypass switch is lit, prior to changing the setting of the High Speed switches. w Do not change this set-up while the tool is running because it may result in operation errors or accidents. w Refer to the following table for speed set-up. Fig. 6.
CHAPTER 6: PRE-SETS AND OPERATION 6.3 Slow Speed Set-Up w Slow Start Speed switches are used to select the slow speed setting. SLOW START TIME SELECT SWITCHES w Verify power is off, or bypass mode has been selected and In Bypass switch is lit, prior to changing the setting of the Slow Start Speed switches. Do not change this set-up while the tool is running because it may result in operation errors or accidents. w Refer to the following table for speed set-up. Fig. 6.

CHAPTER 6: PRE-SETS AND OPERATION 6.4 Timed Speed Change Set-Up w Slow Start Time switches are used to select the length of time the equipment will operate in slow speed prior to accelerating to high speed when operating in speed change mode. w Verify power is off, or bypass mode has been selected and In Bypass switch is lit, prior to changing the setting of the Slow Start Time switches. w Do not change this set-up while the tool is running because it may result in operation errors or accidents.
CHAPTER 6: PRE-SETS AND OPERATION 6.5 In Bypass/Normal Switch Fig. 6.5 w When this switch is set to IN BYPASS, the LED on the switch will be lit and the controller will ignore all I/O Terminal and manual button signals. w This switch should be set to Normal prior to operating this system. w The READY output will be inactive and BYPASS output will be active while the switch is set to IN BYPASS.
