28502 486 Busy here: The gateway rejected the initial INVITE with a generic
“486 Busy here,” and did not include an additional Q.850 cause code. Error
type: BUSY.
28503 487 Request terminated: An in-progress but not yet answered call
was terminated by a BYE or CANCEL. This can be caused by the gateway having
a shorter no-answer timeout than IPFax, and so terminates the call. (See
dial_wait; this is normally 45 seconds.) Error type: NON_RETRYABLE.
28504 488 Not acceptable here: The gateway does not support either the
G.711 µ-law or T.38 codec, or has rejected the call for some other reason. Er-
ror type: NON_RETRYABLE.
28507 491 Request pending. Error type: NON_RETRYABLE.
28509 493 Undecipherable. Error type: NON_RETRYABLE.
4.1.9 28672–28685: SIP 500 Messages
These are error codes returned by the media gateway or fax service. The sec-
ond number listed is the equivalent standard SIP code. Error type:
NON_RETRYABLE.
28672 500 Server Internal Error: The gateway encountered an unexpected
condition that prevented it from fulfilling the request. Error type:
NON_RETRYABLE.
28673 501 Not implemented. Error type: NON_RETRYABLE.
28674 502 Bad gateway. Error type: NON_RETRYABLE.
28675 503 Service Unavailable: The gateway rejected the initial INVITE
with a generic “503 Service unavailable.” This could be due to lack of system
resources, overload, or administrative maintenance. Error type: BUSY.
28676 504 Server time-out. Error type: NON_RETRYABLE.
28677 505 Version not supported. Error type: NON_RETRYABLE.
28685 513 Message too large. Error type: NON_RETRYABLE.
4.1.10 28928–28934: SIP 600 Messages
600 class errors are fatal errors returned by the SIP gateway or fax service.
The second number listed is the equivalent standard SIP code. Error type:
NON_RETRYABLE.
28928 600 Busy Everywhere. Error type: BUSY.
28931 603 Decline. Error type: NON_RETRYABLE.
28932 604 Does Not Exist Anywhere. Error type: NON_RETRYABLE.
28934 606 Not acceptable. Error type: NON_RETRYABLE.
