2.3 ExternalFeatures
TheillustrationbelowidentifiesexternalfeaturesofIBR.Thesmallcapattheendoftheradome(facing
upwardintheillustration)housestheDFS(dynamicfrequencyselection)antenna.
Thesidewherethemountinglugsandserialportarelocatedisreferredtoasthe“back”,sinceitistheside
thatwillbeagainstawallormastwhenIBRismounted.
ThesidethathasthethreeEthernetconnectorsandtwoLEDsisreferredtoasthe“bottom”.Eventhough
theconnectorsareweatherproof,IBRshouldbemountedwiththeconnectorsfacingdownwardfor
maximumenvironmentalprotection.
2.4 PowerRequirements
IBRmustbepoweredviaPoE

throughtheRJ‐45connectorthatisnearesttheLEDs(port0).ApplyingPoE

throughanyoftheotherEthernetconnectorswillcausenoharm,butwillnotpowerIBR.
IBRrequiresthirty(30)watts.Basedonanestimatedlossoffive(5)wattsinaonehundredmeterrunof
Ethernetcable,thepowerinjectorshouldbecapableofdeliveringatleastthirty‐five(35)wattsat60ᵒC.
IBRdoesnothaveacapabilitytoprovidePoEtootherdevicesonthenetwork.
