Resolving a Card Jam (Laminator) Error
Symptom: The Card Jam: Lam Error is displayed on the LCD.
Step Procedure
1 Look for a jammed card in the Printer.
a. Open the Printer’s top Cover.
b. Remove the ribbon from the Printer.
c. Check to see if a card is jammed in the Lam Station of the Printer.
d. If a card is jammed in the Printer, use the Pause/Resume button and the
Cancel buttons to move the feed rollers and free the card. (Note: The
card can then be fed out of the Printer.)
e. If no card was found in the Lam Station, continue to Step 2.
2
Test the TOF Sensor. (Note: If the Printer has begun laminating the card
and then jams, it may be possible that the centering of the Lamination of the
card has caused the jam.)
a. Inspect the card and determine if the Lamination is centered on the card.
b. If the Lamination is hanging off the leading or trailing edge of the card,
see the Resolving the Laminator (General Error).
