Troubleshooting the LCD Messages (continued)
LCD Message Cause Solution
No Smart Encoder You are trying to send
encoding data, but the
Printer is not configured
with this Encoder type.
See Resolving a No Smart Card
Encoder Error.
No Mag Module MAG encoding job sent
to Printer without MAG
encoder.
You are trying to send
encoding data, but the
Printer is not configured
with this Encoder type.
See Resolving a No Magnetic
Encoder Installed Error.
No Ribbon There is no Ribbon
installed or it is broken.
See Resolving a No Ribbon
Installed Error.
Ribbon Low The print Ribbon will
soon run out.
If printing a large number of
cards, replace the Ribbon now or
monitor the Printer until the
Ribbon is gone and install a new
Ribbon. See Resolving a Ribbon
Out Error.
Ribbon Out The print Ribbon has run
out.
OR
There is no Ribbon or its
identification tag cannot
be read.
Install a new Ribbon and press
RESUME to continue or CANCEL
to abort. See Resolving a Ribbon
Out Error.
REINSERT
RIBBON
The Ribbon must be
reinserted for proper
functioning of the Printer.
Reinsert the Ribbons or press
RESUME.
Ribbon Miscue The print Ribbon is either
damaged or the Printer is
not calibrated.
Replace the Ribbon or
recalibrate. Press RESUME to
continue or CANCEL to abort.
