Charging vehicles

Switch the vehicle on.

Charging unit and vehicle communicate with each other to allow the

charging unit to identify which size of rechargeable battery has been

built into the vehicle.

If special functions are switched on: switch the special functions off by

pressing the functional keys that are lit.

Press the key »Car 2«.

The charging procedure will begin. Both LEDs »Car 2« and »laden«

light up.

LED »Car 2« ﬂashes once every minute to check the state of the rechar-

geable battery.

When LED »voll« lights up, the rechargeable battery is fully charged.

LED of the F0-F4 keys show the status of the charging procedure:

»F0« Check if battery is wrong or if battery’s polarity is

reversed

»F1« Start charging procedure

»F2« Check battery’s voltage

»F3« Read charging CV from vehicle (only digital vehicles)

»F4« Charge rechargeable battery

tional keys, see Chapter 6 „Switching special functions on and off“,

page 33.

Switch the vehicle off.

Disconnect the charging cable from the vehicle and from the char-

ging unit.
