5. Charging vehicles

The charging unit allows to recharge all vehicles of FALLER Car System, that

is, both analog vehicles ﬁtted with NiMH rechargeable batteries and digital

vehicles with Li-Ion or NiMH rechargeable batteries.

NOTE:

Start the charging procedure of an analog vehicle with »Car 1«.

Start the charging procedure of a digital vehicle with »Car 2«.

For further information on the various types of rechargeable batte-

ries and the care and handling they require, see Chapter 8 “Interes-

ting facts”, page 38.

TIP

Charging analog vehicles

ADVICE:

 The charging procedure may last up to ten hours.

 Reversing the polarity on analog vehicles is not possible as both exter-

nal pins of the plug feature the same polarity.

 Whenever a LED quickly ﬂashes while the charging unit is in operation,

this is a fault message. To remedy the fault, see Chapter 7 “How to deal

with problems”, page 36.

 If the rechargeable battery heats up to a temperature higher than that of

the hand during the charging procedure, immediately interrupt the pro-

cedure and send the vehicle to FALLER’s customer service department.
