The patented, sealed cartridge is the heart of the Falcon Waterfree urinal system and is
more effective than a standard P trap as a barrier between drain line odors and the open air.
The cartridge design is the result of extensive research and development initiatives, which
have produced the most advanced technology available for zero-water consumption urinals
systems.
Description
The cartridge is installed into the housing in the base of Falcon Waterfree urinals and is
compatible with all Falcon Waterfree urinal models. The cartridge acts as a funnel, allowing
liquid from the bowl to ow into the cartridge. Liquid waste passes through an immiscible
layer of biodegradable sealant liquid within the cartridge and continues through a siphon
trap system. A discharge tube in the housing directs the ow of waste into the building drain
system. The cartridge is designed as a replaceable component when its function has been
exhausted. An O-ring and patented bayonet tabs lock the cartridge into the urinal housing
and provide an airtight seal that is tamper resistant.

Odor barrier Dual barrier system consist of biodegradable sealant liquid within the
cartridge, an O-ring seal, and patented bayonet locking mechanism
providing an air-tight installation of the cartridge into the urinal and
odor free operation.
Sealant liquid Pre-measured pack of biodegradable sealant liquid is provided with
the cartridge.
Tamper-resistance Cartridge is installed into the urinal housing with patented bayonet
locking mechanism. Cartridges can only be removed with a Falcon-
provided installation key.
Maintenance Cartridge requires no maintenance during the normal life cycle and
sealant liquid never needs to be replenished. When the cartridge
reaches the end of its life cycle, it is simply replaced (approximately 2
to 3 times per year). The process of replacing the cartridge takes 3 to
5 minutes and requires no tools.
