Packaging Indicator / Label Format Information
• What packaging indicator is required?
• A packaging indicator is given from the smallest container (1) up to the master
container (8) with the numbers between being a packaging hierarchy.
• If there is not a packaging hierarchy, or the company doesn’t require it, a zero
must be used.
• Refer to www.GS1US.org for further details.
• Which label format is best to use?
