7 TUB & SHOWER OUTLET CONNECTIONS
Connect Shower (7A) and Tub (7B) Outlet Pipes to Valve Body (7C). Connect Pipe
Elbows (7D) (not included) to ends of both pipes. We recommend using drop elbows
(7D) (not included). Securely fasten to framing or other solid support.
WARNING: For Iron Pipe Connections or threaded ttings, use thread sealant
or PTFE Plumber’s tape according to manufacturer’s instructions.
8 PRESSURE TESTING
(Air testing is not recommended)
NOTE: Valve (left and right) function: close-clockwise, open-counterclockwise.
Thread a

” iron pipe plug (8A) (not included) to Tub Outlet (8B) and Shower Outlet
(8C). Turn on water supply.
Remove Plastic Covers (8D). Rotate hot and cold (left and right) Valve Stems (8E)
to full on position and check all connections for leaks. Rotate Diverter Stem (8F)
counterclockwise allowing water to ow to Shower Outlet (8C). Rotate Diverter Stem
(8F) clockwise allowing water to ow to Tub Outlet (8B). Rotate hot and cold (left and
right) Valve Stems (8E) to closed position and look for leaks from the outlets.
CAUTION: Slowly remove pipe plugs from tub and shower outlets to relieve pressure.
Replace Plastic Cover (8D) onto Valve Bodies. Proceed to nish wall.
6 SUPPLY CONNECTIONS
A IRON PIPE SUPPLY CONNECTIONS:
Proper ttings (6E) for your valve body type are required.
Valve Body Inlets (6A) and Outlets (6B) are designed to accommodate

-14 NPT pipe.
Thread hot and cold Iron Supply Pipe (6C) into
Valve Body Inlets (6A)
. Wrench tighten.
WARNING:
For Iron Pipe Connections or threaded ttings, use thread sealant
or PTFE Plumber’s tape according to manufacturer’s instructions.
CAUTION:
If using iron pipes, it is not recommended to reduce outlet pipe
diameter.
B COPPER SUPPLY CONNECTIONS:
WARNING:
Remove all internal plastic and rubber components from Valve Body
prior to soldering. Failure to do so can result in water damage.
Valve Body inlets (6A) are designed to accommodate a

” copper pipe. Connect hot
and cold Pipes (6D) into
Valve Body Inlets
(6A) and solder the joints.
