Axor Montreux Wallbar with Hose 27982XX1 Installation Considerations: This wallbar should be mounted only on a flat wall surface -- no projecting joints or tiles should be present at the mounting points. The mounting kit included with this wallbar is suitable for a tile, stone, or other solid surface wall. If the wallbar is to be installed on a fiberglass or acrylic shower unit, please contact the manufacturer of the shower unit for their recommendations regarding suitable mounting hardware.
Wallbar Installation Mark the positions of the screw holes, using the mounting brackets as templates. The notch on the mounting bracket should be on the top for the top mounting bracket, on the bottom for the bottom mounting bracket. Drill the holes with a 6 mm bit suitable for the wall surface. Install the anchors. Seal the wall around the anchors with waterproof bathroom sealant. Install the mounting brackets with the screws.
Position the bar over the mounting brackets. Press the bar into place. Install the Hose and Handshower* : Place the black rubber hose washer in one end of the handshower hose. Screw this end of the hose to the wall outlet*. Place the screen washer in the other end of the hose. Screw this end of the hose to the handshower*. Place the handshower in the wallbar slider. *Handshower and wall outlet not included.
Remove the Wallbar: Push a small tool, such as an Allen wrench into the hole on the bottom of the escutcheon. Push the tool firmly upwards against the spring-loaded pin. Pull outwards on the end of the bar.
