a. Be careful, if your weapon has an extension, the magazine spring is
not retained inside the tube; pay attention when removing the
extension and holding back the spring (fig.24).
b. If your magazine extension has a capacity of more than two
shotshells, first remove the attaching interface between the barrel
and the extension using the suitable Allen key.
4. Gently remove the barrel (fig.25). The barrel ring comes away by sliding
on the magazine tube.
5. Push the forend forwards so that the breech bolt assembly comes out of
the frame (fig.26).
6. Remove the breech bolt from the action bar (fig.27).
7. Hold the bolt in one hand and press the firing pin to compress the spring
(fig.28).
8. Remove the locking pin from the bolt (fig.29).
9. You can now remove the firing pin, the locking lug and the spring (fig.30).
Do not strip your shotgun to any further stage. This is sufficient for mormal
maintenance. Any further disassembly should be by a qualified gunsmith.
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
The correct maintenance and cleaning of your shotgun will guarantee its long life
and maintain the performance of your FABARM weapon.
BARREL: Spray a little FABARM solvent into the barrel and let it stand. Run a
cloth impregnated in a little FABARM oil through the barrel always pulling it from
the chamber to the muzzle. Repeat this operation.
Regularly apply oil to the outside of the barrel.
MECHANISM: Spray a little FABARM oil onto the bolt group and the outside of
the magazine tube so that a thin film of oil protects the parts of the mechanism
while lubricating it.
REASSEMBLY
1. If the locking lug has been removed, start by putting the lug on the
bolt (fig.31).
2. Place the firing pin and its spring into the bolt then compress it to bring
the retaining pin into place (fig.32).
3. Put the bolt on the action bar (fig.33).
4. Check that the hammer is in the cocked position (fig.34), if it is not push
it back until it locks into the cocked position.
