b. Your weapon has a magazine tube extension: in this case, put the
magazine spring in the tube then place the extension at the end of
the spring.
c. Compress the spring by pressing on the extension until you can
screw the extension onto the magazine tube end threading (fig.5).
d. If your magazine extension has a capacity of more than two
cartridges, position the attaching interface B-191-A between the
barrel and the extension and use a suitable Allen key to tighten the
attaching screw B-079 (fig.6).
A mark on the extension indicates where to position the interface
B-191-A.
ASSEMBLY/DISASSEMBLY OF MIL-STD 1913 PIVOT PICATINNY
RAIL
The STF 12 rifle has a long MIL-STD 1913 Picatinny rail ( 390 mm ) with a pivot
system (except for the INITIAL version).
1. Place the rail above the front receiver of the pivot with the rail on the left
of the shotgun and at an angle of 90° to the weapon (fig.7).
2. Insert the pivot into its base (fig.8).
3. With a circular movement from left to right, bring the rail into position on
top of the weapon while inserting the end of the rail into the rear sight on
the frame (fig.9).
4. Fold down the rail attaching lever on the receiver (fig.10).
5. Firmly tighten the thumbwheel on the lever (fig.11).
For disassembly, proceed as above in the opposite order.
REAR SIGHT COVER B-188-A
On the STF 12 INITIAL version or when the MIL-STD 1913 rail is removed, a
removable cover can be placed on the rear sight receiver which is then used
with open sighting.
1. Place cover B-188-A over rear sight receiver B-187 (fig.12).
2. Secure the thumbwheel to attach the cover to the receiver (fig.13).
ADJUSTING THE FRONT SIGHT POSITION
To use the weapon in its STF 12 INITIAL version or when the MIL-STD 1913 rail
is removed, a low front sight at the front of the MIL-STD 1913 rail pivot allows
accurate open sighting.
3
This metal front sight can be adjusted for elevation.
1. Loosen the small screen at the front of the barrel lining with a suitable
Allen key (fig.14).
2. Move the front sight B-182 up (to lower the point of impact of the
shotgun) or down (to raise the point of impact of the shotgun) then
tighten the screw firmly.
ASSEMBLY/DISASSEMBLY OF SIGHTS
The STF 12 rifle has a B-045 front sight and a B-178-A ghost sight, both
removable.
1. Loosen the attaching thumbwheels located on the left-hand side of the
ghost sight or of the front sight (fig.15).
2. Insert the ghost sight and the front sight in the desired positions on the
Picatinny rail then tighten the side thumbwheels.
ASSEMBLY OF THE DOOR BREACHER
For the STF 12 versions with the door breacher, the shotgun can be used with or
without this accessory.
a- Without door breacher : An internal choke tube of the INNER HP type is
screwed into the muzzle of the barrel. It’s a CYLINDRICAL type (see
marking on the choke tube).
b- With door breacher :
1. Make sure that the weapon is totally unloaded. Engage the safety catch
of the weapon.
2. Put the choke key to INNER HP and turn the key counterclockwise to
unscrew the choke tube (fig.16).
3. Into the barrel, insert the specific choke tube E-311 for attaching the
door breacher and tighten it with the key (fig.17). Like the INNER HP
choke, this choke is a CYLINDRICAL .
4. Put the door breacher on the front of this choke, extending from the
barrel, and tighten firmly by hand, turning it clockwise (fig.18).
The door breacher has specific milling shapes to prevent it coming loose during
firing. Regularly disassemble the choke tube to clean it. Apply a little lubricant to
the threads to facilitate assembly and disassembly.
For more specific use of the STF 12, different choke tubes can be assembled:
IN/OUT HP, INNER HP, EXIS HP. Ask your dealer for advice.
