UNLOADING THE SHOTGUN.
1. Tounloadthechamber,pullopentheboltandremovetheshell.
2. Holdtheshotgunupsidedown.
3. Pushthefreecarrierdown( FIG.10 ).Pushthemagazineretainer( FIG.11 ) : the shells
willcomeoutfromthemagazine( FIG.12 ).
REMOVING/INSTALLING CHOKE TUBES
WARNING : Unload the rearm before changing choke tubes. Leave the action open and
the chamber and magazine empty when changing choke tubes.
1. Engagethesafetyswitch.
2. Placethechoketubewrenchintothechoketube.
3. Turnthewrenchcounter-clockwisetoremovethechoketube.
4. Select the desired choke tube and insert the tube into the barrel.
5. Screwitinclockwiseuntiltight.Makecertainitistightusingthechokewrenchbutdonot
overtighten.Asmallamountoflubricateonthetreadswillensurethechoketubecanbe
installedandremovedwithease.
6. Withtheactionopenandthechamberandmagazineempty,checkthechoketube
occasionallytomakesurethetubehasnotloosened.
NEVER USE THE BARREL WITHOUT ANY CHOKE TUBES.
DISASSEMBLY
1. Placetheshotgunonsafeandensurethatitiscompletelyunloaded.
2. Withtheboltclosed,unscrewtheforendcap.
Thencarefullyremovethebarrel( FIG.13 ).Thegaspistonslidesoffthefrontofthe
magazinecapshaft( FIG.14 ).
3. Usingtheringofanemptyshell,carefullyprythecockinghandleoutandremoveitas
showinFIG.15.Removetheactionbarboltgroupassembly( FIG.16 ). Bolt, action bar
andrecoilspringbeingremovedfromthereceiverbybeingsliddownthemagazinetube
( FIG.17 ).
4. Withapinpunchtapoutthetwotriggerguardpins( FIG.18 ).
Thetriggergroupcanberemovedbypullingoutward( FIG.19 ).
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
Thepropermaintenanceandcleaningofyourshotgunwillenhancetheperformanceandextend
theservicelifeofyourFABARMshotgun.
BARREL:Wetapatchwithborecleaningsolventandwettheinsideoftheborebypushingthe
wetpatchthroughfromthechamberendofthebarrel.
BOLT & GAS PISTON:Theboltandthegaspistonasimportantcomponentsmustbecleaned
thoroughly.Agoodgunoilandbristlebrushshouldcleanitsufciently.
Avoid over-lubrication. A thin coat of FABARM gun oil will help prevent rust.
