4. Use your thumb ( or a pen ) to push the connecting bolt latch. (Fig.36)
and take it out (Fig.37)
5. Remove the bolt head, pulling it outside. (Fig.38)
6. Select the new bolt head ( look at the marks engraved ), push it to be
installed over the firing pin until it stops at approximately 3 mm from the
bolt housing. (Fig.39)
7. Rotate the bolt head so that the flat milling on the bolt head matches with
the milling on the bolt (Fig.40) ; the bolt head is now perfectly in contact
with the bolt housing. (Fig.41)
8. Insert the connecting bolt latch. Using your nail press the small retaining
pin (Fig.42) and pushing at the same time the bolt latch until it locks with
an audible click.
TRIGGER SYSTEM ( STECHER )
The IRIS rifles are available in different configurations, with a DIRECT TRIGGER
system or with a SET TRIGGER system.
If your rifle has a SET TRIGGER system :
1. The SET TRIGGER can be used as a regular trigger, without setting.
2. For setting, the trigger should be pressed forward (Fig.43). Be careful, the
trigger is now extremely sensitive with a very light weight of pull.
3. To disengage the STECHER, move the handle upward until it stops; the
trigger will return backward to its initial position.
OPEN SIGHTS
Based on your own sighting or habits, you could adjust the sights precisely to your
own personal requirements.
FRONT SIGHT : It could be adjusted in elevation (Fig.44).
1. When the IRIS shoots deep, turn the Allen screw to the left.
2. When the IRIS shoots high, turn the Allen screw to the right.
REAR SIGHT : It could be adjusted in deviation (Fig.45).
1. When the IRIS shoots to the left, loosen the lock screw, slide the rear
sight to the right side and retighten the lock screw (Fig.46).
2. When the IRIS shoots to the right, loosen the lock screw, slide the rear
sight to the left side and retighten the lock screw.
