EXCHANGING BARRELS
All the calibers are organized in three groups ( MINI-STANDARD –MAGNUM ).
All calibers from all these groups can be assembled on the same frame, following
the cases listed hereafter :
CASE N° 1 : TWO CALIBERS WITHIN THE SAME CALIBER GR OUP :
In this case there is no need to replace the BOLT HEAD or the
COMPLETE BOLT. Please check only the MAGAZINE groups to use the new
magazine which corresponds to your ammunition.
CASE N° 2 : CHANGING THE CALIBER FROM ONE OF THE ST ANDARD
GROUP TO ONE OF THE MAGNUM GROUP , OR THE OPPOSITE:
In this case the BOLT HEAD has to be changed. Please check that the
new bolt head has the same caliber group as the new barrel fitted on the frame,
following the indications of the caliber group table. Insert the correct magazine
which corresponds to the new caliber.
CASE 3 : CHANGING THE CALIBER FROM ONE GROUP (ST ANDARD OR
MAGNUM ) TO A MINI CALIBER :
The MINI CALIBERS need a COMPLETE SPECIFIC BOLT, which is not
interchangeable with the bolt used for the standard or magnum calibres. So by
consequence, each time you want to assembly a MINI caliber barrel on the IRIS
frame, a COMPLETE BOLT ( which includes the bolt body and the bolt head )
exclusively made for the MINI calibres has to be changed as well. It has the marks
MI engraved as shown on the Fig.34. Insert the correct magazine which
corresponds to the new MINI caliber.
EXCHANGING BOLT HEAD

2. Open the bolt, press the bolt stop release which is on the frame left side

3. Grip the complete bolt upside down with your left hand. (Fig.35)
