STEP 11
Roof Position: Eave clips allow the roof to
be installed in an elevated or closed position.
The elevated position can be used for drying
purposes and the closed position for storage
purposes. Decide which position best fits your
grain handling requirements. Installing clips
for the closed position, the slotted holes are
used; and for roofs in the elevated position,
the square, hex and round holes will be used.
For roofs 18’ diameter through 30’ diameter,
three (3) bolts will be used per eave clip at
the positions in the clip as shown in fig a.
See the specific bin size for eave clip spacing.
Install all eave clips on the outside of the
corrugated wall sheets (See Fig b.). Install
clips in a counterclockwise direction around
the bin.
18’ DIAMETER ROOF
1. Since the manhole roof sheet is double the width of the regular roof sheets, decide where the
roof manhole will be located and install the first eave clip as shown in figures a and b.
2. Skip nine (9) holes and install second clip starting with the first square hole in clip, as shown.
3. Skip three (3) holes and install third eave clip.
4. Repeat step 3 until all clips are installed.
NOTE: The same results can be obtained using a strap or angle gauge with 5/16” pins or 3/8”
holes at 32 1/16” centers for the double wide manhole sheet and at 13 1/4” centers for the
regular roof sheet. (See figure c)
