HELPFUL INSTALLATION HINTS:
Before Inserting Tubes into Tube Receivers
With Rag/Paper Towel take Vaseline, Liquid Soap or Vegetable Oil & Coat the Plugs.
Plugs on Tubes have very Tight Fit – above helps put Tubes completely into Receiver.
Center Supports: If Putting a lot of weight on Shelf and/or Rod
Attach 1 side of Center Support to Stud with screws & other side use anchors &
screws to secure to drywall.
TWO METHODS FOR INSTALLING SHELVES
1) MOUNT TUBE RECEIVERS & THEN INSERT TUBES
USE WHEN EXPANDING TUBES AT LEAST 4”(i.e. expanding 40” to more than 44”)
2) INSERT ALL TUBES INTO RECEIVERS & THEN MOUNT COMPLETED UNIT
When installing tubes that only extend up to 4” from collapsed
(example: 40”-44” wide for 40-73” tubes & 28”-32” wide for 28-48” tubes, etc.)
1) Insert ALL tubes into both Left & Right Tube Receivers BEFORE Page 2
May be Difficult to Insert Tubes if extending less than 4” once brackets are mounted
2) Get Help to hold Shelf or mount Center Support Bracket First
(then place completed unit on center support & expand and then secure.
