If you are working on a remote PC, you can use the keyboard shortcuts for Cut, Copy,
and Paste. Also, you can use the clipboard function to copy strings in either binary
or hex format to and from other applications. When pasting them into the pattern
in binary view, a 1 sets a single bit, in hex view, a 1 sets 4 bits.
Bin/Hex/Symbol Configuration Dialog Box
Patterns can be viewed in Binary, Hexa-Decimal and Symbol format. The Bin/Hex/
Symbol Configuration dialog box provides option to view the patterns in Bin/Hex/
Symbol format.
For Symbol format, this dialog allows you to configure how the pattern editor
handles the running disparity. You can allow the editor to automatically maintain
a correct running disparity while you edit by enabling the Automatic maintains
running disparity checkbox. In this case, the Running Diparity will be applied on
the full pattern (i.e. for alternate patterns, it will be applied on both A and B
patterns). You can also set the Starting Running Disparity to either Automatic or
Manual (+1 or -1).
