On the web control dialogue shown above you can request for help by pressing
the 'Help' button on the lower right hand corner.

The instrument IP will be automatically generated in the space labeled
'Instrument IP Address'. While adding the instrument on the network the IP
address will be defined. The DHCP protocol automates the assignment of the
IP addresses. The read only lable in the WebControl dialog shows the current
IP address of the instrument, and this can be used to address the instrument
on the internet explorer by the web client. Enter a password which will be used
for authentication.
Follow the steps below to access the instrument through the web server:

You need to know the instrument IP address and the password.

Additional to the WebBrowser a JAVA runtime environment has to be installed
on the client computer. If the Java runtime environment is not installed on the
client computer you cannot access the GUI of the instrument.

Open a web browser, either Internet Explorer 4.0 or higher, or Netscape 4.0 or
higher.

Type in the instrument IP, and enter the password when it prompts for it.
