Installing Software Licenses
Installing Software Licenses - Procedures
The Serial BERT has optional features that require a license. The following
procedures explain how to obtain and install a license:
Obtaining a License
To obtain a license:

In the Utilities menu, click Licenses. The Licenses dialog informs you about
the options that require a license.

Record the HOST ID / MAC Addr shown in the window. This is the MAC
Address of the Serial BERT.

Contact your Agilent representative and purchase a Software Entitlement
Certificate.

Visit the website .

Follow the instructions on the website. You will need the certificate and the
MAC Address.

You will receive a licence file over the web. The file has the suffix .lic .
Installing a License
To install a license:

Copy the licence file to the Serial BERT.

In the Utilities menu, click Licenses.

Double-click the feature you wish to enable.
4
Follow the instructions in the window.
