Set the Number of Steps between start and stop.
The Number of Steps yields a set of logarithmically equidistant frequencies.
In Manual mode, the automatically calculated jitter frequencies can be edited. You
can also enter your own comma-separated list of frequencies.
The Sequence Advance checkbox advances the PG sequence during jitter
tolerance characterization. It will be enabled only if the sequence is send to the
PG.
The Show Compliance Curve checkbox enables the compliance curve on the Jitter
Tolerance Characterization graph. This feature is available only if the compliance
jitter measurement option is installed. The standard is taken from the compliance
measurement.
Setting the BER Limit
1
Set the Target Bit Error Ratio.
This defines whether a measured point is flagged green or red.
2
Choose the Verification Method.
Setting a Confidence Level is generally recommended. See also “Target BER”
on page 435.
If you enable Absolute Bits/Errors, the measurement proceeds with the next
amplitude as soon as one of the two numbers is reached.
